Multi-criteria and Least Cost Path Analysis for Grizzly Bear Movement Corridors

The study identified and analyzed potential movement corridors, and examined potential locations for an animal overpass for grizzly bears in Jasper, Alberta, using multi-criteria and least-cost path analysis.
By integrating habitat suitability factors such as land cover, elevation, and human proximity, the analysis highlighted routes that facilitate safe and efficient movement for grizzly bears while minimizing conflicts with human infrastructure.

Spatial Patterns of Forest Fires in the Okanagan in 2018

The analysis compared the spatial patterns of human-caused versus lightning-caused fires in the Okanagan region in 2018. The objectives included (1) mapping fire data and measuring its spatial distributions, (2) analyzing the spatial point patterns of lightning-caused and human-caused fires , and (3) evaluating global and local spatial autocorrelation in the data.
